New Fridge!!!!

Yesterday was a great day - both Kevin and I had the day off and so we hung out at the beach, played some volleyball, Kevin donated his old car to a charity and we found a fridge on craigslist and brought it home! Yea! I don't know if everyone out there knows this but Kevin and I have been using Kevin's old mini-fridge for about two months now. We bought a fridge at a garage sale right before we moved to Redondo but it stopped working after like two weeks but we were working so much and didn't want to buy a brand new one so it took a little while to track down a cheap but good fridge. Luckily yesterday we found the perfect one and now we have cold items :) Also, I have begun re-reading Harry Potter since the release of #7 has come out. I went to the Redondo Beach library a week ago, last Tuesday, and checked out 1-4. I thought I had 5 and 6 at my apartment but apparently I left #5 at home in Mo-Town. Anyway, I finished #1 on Wed., finished #2 on Friday, finished #3 last night and now I am starting #4. I can't wait to finish them all so I can get to #7 finally. I wanted to post a picture of my new fridge but I can't seem to find a picture of it. Give me a few days, peeps, and I'll see what I can do. Hope everyone's doing well!

Lindy's Visit to the Dondo

Hey there everyone out in the internet world. Today I am posting pics from the last few days that Lindy was here. She was here from last Thursday to today and it was really fun having her here. We did a lot of sightseeing in L.A. and even some some paparazzi outside the Beverly Hills Hotel but unfortunately we didn't see why they were waiting or who they were waiting for. I have a picture that I'm posting of them haha. We also hit up Hollywood and I have a picture of myself finally holding hands with Matt Damon (he just got his hands and feet imprinted in cement outside the Graumann theater). So that was definitely a special moment. :) We also saw the Kodak theater where they have the Academy Awards and even the American Idol finale - Lindy was really excited about seeing that. We also went to Rodeo Drive, as you can tell by the pictures, and we even hit up Sprinkles. Now, those of you who don't know what Sprinkles are, they are a small cupcake shop and apparently are very popular and almost famous now because all these celebrities eat them or they're just talked about it in magazines. So I decided that I had to track them down and try one. Kevin and I each got a cupcake - but this is a small store, I'm talking so tiny that you can only fit a few people in it and like one small counter by the window for people to sit (maybe 4 people can sit at the counter). Since it's so small, everyone has to stand outside in line so it looks like it's going to take forever to order a cupcake, but actually it only takes a few minutes. Kevin was applauded by the ladies in front of us for being the only male person in line haha. The deal with this shop is they have certain flavors on certain days - I got a "Black and White" which was chocolate cupcake with white frosting and sprinkles. Kevin got a carrot cake flavored one and we both took a big bite and enjoyed the cupcake. But we could only eat like two bites because the frosting is so sweet and rich. Definitely nice to try but hard to eat the whole thing. There's also a picture of the new frisbee we got from mom and dad in Alaska. See how it's purple in the picture? That's because we were in the sunlight and it changes color with the light. Amazing!

Bryan's Visit

Howdy everyone. Well we've had some visitors these last few weeks. Last Saturday Kevin's brother Bryan came and visited us down here in Redondo Beach for a few days before heading back up to Manteca. Him and his wife Erika just moved back to the U.S. from Italy now that Erika's out of the Navy but she still had some stuff to finish up with the Navy so just Bryan was able to visit. I think they had a lot of fun hanging out - Bryan and Kevin ended up wrestling at like 2am and of course I took some pictures of that. There are also pictures on here from the famous cherry-eating contest at Martin & Ashlie's rehearsal dinner. Lindy has been visiting for the past few days and I will have to post those pictures tomorrow because there are too many. Also, giving a big shout out to Aunt Sandy because, luckily, I have a godmother that does my taxes and is going to try and help me now that the IRS is after me and apparently I owe some money from working at Longboard's. I really dislike that restaurant and even more so now that I am going to be battling the IRS for how much money I'm going to owe them. Wish me luck! And thanks Aunt Sandy! I owe you tons! Also, mom, this is Kevin with all the gifts you gave him from Alaska. He is really going to wear that hat way too much. Toodles.

More Wedding Photo's & Beach Volleyball :)

Happy Birthday Lindy!! There have been a lot of birthday's this month - Mom's birthday was on the 3rd, America's birthday was on the 4th, Tiff Hood's birthday was on the 5th, Martin's birthday was on the 7th, Kevin's dad, Rich, was on the 9th and now Lindy's on the 12th. Happy birthday all you July b-day people.
Well the weather here in sunny Southern California has been pretty good this week. A little windy the last two evenings once the sun was about to set - I think the weather's going to be like that tonight as well, which is good for me because I'm working on the patio tonight and don't feel like working too hard. If it's cold then I get to go home early :) So I have some more embarassing wedding photos from Ashlie and Martin's wedding. Now, I do admit that all of us (bridesmaids and others) had a few drinks at the wedding. It was peer pressure -haha jk. But by these pictures, it looks like that was all I was doing. To tell the truth - I promise I was not really drinking . . . just apparently when the cameras were around :o) Anyway . . . there are some really great photos here - they are on Martin's website and are from a lot of people who attended the wedding such as a few of the bridesmaids (Terra and Blythe), a groomsman Erik and Martin's mom Sandra. My pictures aren't yet on their website but probably will be soon. It's great to see the pictures other people took and there are really some great photo's. Kevin and I have been trying to play beach volleyball a lot lately so here's some photos from the past week. Kevin and I actually played against our manager, Nick, and a girl named Emily who bartends with Kevin. Needless to say, they are tall, we are not. And yet somehow we won. I think we will remain undefeated as long as we don't play them again :) The website for Martin's website is: http://web.mac.com/martinfreeberg/iWeb/Wedding/Wedding.html Also, there is a photo of my bruised leg - this was from climbing through a window and did not involve alcohol. Enjoy!!

San Francisco with AD Pi's!!

Hey there . . . sorry I haven't written in awhile. I have been working and then my sorority "sisters" Somer, Tiffany and I decided to visit our other "sister" Ariel in San Francisco where she now lives. It's funny because we all lived together in AD Pi sorority house back in 2004, then some of them still lived there in 2005 but it's already been 3 years since then. The time is flying by. We had a good time meeting Ariel's fiancee Mike and seeing where Ariel lives with another AD Pi, Sarah. These are some pictures from our trip and the fun times we had. I'm also really proud of TIff because she has recently completed a solid 6 months of AA and being sober - a large feat for her and I'm so glad that she has made a positive change in her life. Somer is off to Europe on Thursday, Lindy's birthday, and she'll be backpacking around for a month. Have fun, Somer!! Hope everyone out there is doing great and I also wanted to congratulate my cool bloggin' cousin Matt on buying his first home with wife Jill! That is very exciting and not an easy thing to do. Yippee!! Also, Aunt Sandy thanks for the comments you have left and I hope you feel better from your cruise.
Have a good day people :)
