First Day of School [Again]

For some reason I just love the first day of school. I love having new notebooks, brand new pens and highlighters. I love the books stacked up, waiting to be read and studied. I love figuring out where my classes are and establishing a new schedule. So tomorrow marks my second first day of school since I started at CSU Dominguez Hills. I am attempting to take three graduate courses but there have already been e-mails and rumors swirling that some classes may be cut due to low enrollment and possibly cutbacks. I will just have to go tomorrow and see how it all works out and keep my fingers crossed that my classes stay put!

Irony . . . gotta love it

Some crazy things have been going on lately . . . but recently some great news has come about and it seems like this means things will be getting better. It's not 'too' serious an issue, at least not personally, and I can't really talk about it because it's all hush hush, but I am just so happy that things are getting back into their right places. For the last few weeks it seems like everything's been on a tilt, and now it's getting sorted out and irony is just a sweet thing.

On to other news: school starts again for me in about two weeks. I'm hoping to squeeze Disneyland in a few times before I go back because once school starts, the busyness starts again. Another cool thing is a game: words with friends, which is an iPhone app. It's so fun and everyone can play each other [as long as you have an iPhone] and we're all having a great time with it.

My mom got me an external hard drive for my birthday [though I just got it and my b-day was in August, but at least I got it :) ] and I'm trying to burn backup copies of all my pictures on my computer - oh, just a little over 7,000! - so when I transfer everything to the hard drive I can just delete the photos and be done with it.

Just a little update!

Little things. . .

Little things I like:

Leaving work before 10 because then I can drive out of the gate at the top of the parking garage rather than the one down at the very bottom which can be very annoying when people in front of you don't know how to get out so they take forever.

When Matilda falls asleep with me in bed and her head rests on my leg. She's so cute!

I like that I have a Disney pass to use whenever I want, though I haven't activated it yet.

Also, just got into 30 Rock TV show and can now watch it instantly on my TV from my Netflix account. Love it!

Like how easy my iPhone makes everything - it never ceases to amaze me.

Those are just a few things - of course there are so many more.

Kevin and I went home for the holidays and we were able to spend time with both sides of the family. Kevin got me a Disneyland season pass for me and I can't wait to use it! Santa got us a Wii which we are really excited about and have gotten the Wii Sports Resort so far as well as an extra controller. We rang in the New Year at work, of course, and though things are as crazy as ever at work, some of my closest friends work there, so at least that's a positive. And my friend Karly, who moved to Arizona last March, surprised us and visited for the new year. We even watched Avatar with her and Danny the next night [in 3D] and had a great time. Makes me realize how much I miss having her around.





I have about 2 and 1/2 more weeks until school starts again . . . so let the fun and relaxing vacation continue!
