Disney Day - Amazing!

I finally had a day off today and called Sherri so we could use our Disney passes before summer when there are all these blackout days. So once Sherri got off of work she called me and we headed toward Disneyland . . . we pull up to the parking lot at like about 3pm exactly and I pull out $15 to pay for parking. The parking attendant asks me if we're with the car that was just ahead of us and I say no, unless they paid for our parking, ha ha this is a joke. The attendant doesn't think I'm funny but says, no and is acting like all weird, semi-rude. So I'm like, ok, just give me my pass and we'll go but then he says, you guys have been chosen as our guest of the day. This entire experience seemed like a dream and I didn't exactly comprehend what he was saying. He was like, they choose someone who pays for parking and gets to park at the closest parking spot. We were like, um, okay . . . and he hands me back my cash, a ticket which says there was no charge for our parking pass and tells us to follow a white car in front of us. Someone waves from the white car and so I waved back, not sure exactly what was happening.

We followed this white car as they took us completely against the usual way you park and into Pinnocchio's parking lot. We followed the white car and then they stopped and a Disney worker got out and moved some cones that were blocking a parking spot. She ushered us into it and we realized that this was the closest parking spot that they were talking about. We thought that was it, like, ok free parking and the closest parking spot. And a sign to put in our window that said Guest of the Day. But then the lady was like, ok, get in the car and told us to get into the white car. We were like all scattered because we thought we had time to get ready and get on the shuttle. Instead, we shoved our stuff into the trunk and got into the white car as they drove us along the path that the shuttle normally would. They basically took us to the very front parking spot and then drove us all the way to the front entrance of the park. They chatted with us along the way and Sherri also told them it was her birthday and had a button that they gave her so people would know.

Today was, by far, one of the best Disney experiences ever!

Finally, my final is over!

Luckily this semester I only had one final and it was today. I also had an 8-10 page paper due in the same class today. By Friday I'll be completely done with this semester after three more papers are due. Though it wasn't as demanding of a semester, intellectually, as last semester, I took on an extra class and worked a full 5-day workweek every week of the semester. It has definitely taken it's toll and I'm ready for it to be over and for summer to get here!

We celebrated our one year anniversary on Mother's Day and I'll post those pictures soon. We also celebrated our anniversary this past Monday on the 17th since we were both working so hard Mother's Day weekend and didn't have time. Once Friday rolls around, I'll be back to do some posting!
